James Houston, EA (Former Owner – Recently Retired)

James, the OSTS pioneer, holds a B.S. degree (Business major) from the University of Santa Clara and is an Armed Services Veteran.

Before becoming an Enrolled Agent (EA), He worked as a Senior Analyst for several high-tech companies mostly in the Operations and Logistics Divisions over many years. James did a lot of work with databases and populations and came up with solutions to questions that no one else was asking. He’s fond to remember that a couple of his bosses (on different jobs) called him, “Doctor” because He could create customized Excel spreadsheet tools that provided immediate and practical, where-the-rubber-meets-the-road type solutions.

Overall, James created many problem-solving tools and has been providing simple and practical solutions all his life. And as he looked back on his high-tech career, He realizes that He was “pearl-diving” many years before the expression was coined.
